Zig-Zag-Zummer Top
The ZigZagZummer Top is what your 70’s dreams are made of! A totally beginner pattern, it features a filet crochet zig zag pattern at the bottom of the body and a very simple construction. Worked bottom-up, you can follow written instructions or a chart provided to work the filet crochet section. Then the chest and back are worked separately with minimal shaping and a V-neck at both back and front. The top sports a lower neckline at the Front, but it can easily be worn backwards for a most modest look. The update now includes complete schematics as well as a chart for the filet section.

Most Sport and some fingering weight yarn will work, but here are some I would recommend that would be a good match based on fiber content and gauge:
MillaMia, Naturally Baby Soft (50% Cotton, 50% Soy)
Knit Picks, Heatherly Sport (80% Acrylic, 20% Merino Wool)
Lion Brand Yarn, LB Collection® Cotton Bamboo Linen Yarn (40% Cotton, 35% Bamboo, 25% Linen)
