Ixchel Pullover Knitting Pattern

£8.00

Ixchel (pronounced Ish-chel) was the Maya goddess of the moon, of love, of gestation, of medicine, and of the textile arts. In the “Chilam Balam”, a collection of books which tells about the history of the Maya civilization, her name appears as meaning “rainbow woman”. Ixchel, the pullover, evokes the imagery and shapes found in Mayan culture and ancient settlements, as well as the energy and color of this powerful goddess. It will bring so much energy and joy into any wardrobe. It is a round-yoke pullover constructed top-down with short rows at the back of the neck for that perfect fit on the shoulders. The circular yoke and body are worked in rounds following mosaic charts. The length of sleeves and body is easily adjustable.
