Fenix Tank
Going back thousands of year, the legendary pheonix (fenix in Latin) has represented transformation as it bursts into flame, only to be reborn from its own ashes. Today the pheonix legend speaks to us like never before, as we work to dismantle toxic systems that govern our lives and society with hopes of using some of the rubble to create something stronger and more supportive, while clearing away the rest.
Fenix, the tank top, speaks of the symmetry and patterning of feathers across a golden pheonix body, especially the angles of feathers crossing one another. The tank is crocheted in two identical panels that begin with a triangle and then branch out with vertical rows. The finished straps and panels are sewn together, then the neckline and arms are finished with a simple sc row for structure and polish.
