Learn two different variations of mosaic crochet and prepare yourself to LOVE this magnificent technique. Mosaic crochet can create stunning motifs using only one color per row, making it one of the easiest colorwork techniques.
MATERIALS
2 colors of DK weight yarn or similar and crochet hook to match the yarn (i.e. 4.5 mm hook).

Modern Crochet Stitches That Look Like Knitting!

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Class Details:
In this class, you will learn three different stitches and their modifications to create a fabric that looks as if it was knitted. We will cover a technique that looks like 1x1 knit rib or brioche; faux fair isle or knit stockinette; and a faux knit garter stitch technique. In class, we will make a swatch with each of the stitches and their modifications and then, if time permits, work on a small project together using one of these techniques - the patterns included in the handout are a miniature cardigan and 2 miniature hats (Barbie size).
Technique requirements: Know the basics of crochet

Supplies for Class:
Yarn (sport or DK recommended) - one per swatch if you don't want to cut the yarn and a hook to match the yarn.
