Confetti Color Guide
This guide has been provided to help you figure out how best to organize your yarn when working the color transitions on the Confetti DK Pullover and to give you an idea of weight needed per color.
Use the calculator on this page or download it to use on your device.
How to use this guide
On the Body page, input information in the green boxes about your project and gauge swatch. See pattern for how to swatch.
The red boxes will give you the amount of rows in between transitions on both the body and the sleeves.
You will also be given the approximate weight of each colorway based on the weight of your swatch. This is helpful to know how much yarn you will need and the optimal number of colorways to divide your project by. For example, if according to the table you require 115g per colorway when using 5 colors total, it might be wise to use 6 colors intead and you will only need to use 1 skein of 100g per color (total of 6) instead of 2 skein of each color (total of 10).
For information on YOKE transitions, find the tab that corresponds to your size to see how many rows of each color to work on the yoke.
Keep in mind that each transition is 10 rows long.
Depending on the size you are making and on the desired length of body and sleeves, the amount of rows in between each transition can be very different on the body and sleeves. This is so that the yarn is shared evenly within the whole project.
This guide is to be use only as an approximation and you might need to make adjustments as you go. This guide DOES NOT substitute the pattern. Please refer to the written pattern for further instructions.
